CHINGGIS KHAAN AIRPORT

Chinggis Khan International Airport was newly built in Khushig Valley, in the territory of Sergelen Sum of Central Province, 55 km from Ulaanbaatar city and 10 km from Zuunmod city of Central Province. The airport was put into operation in July 2021. The airport is equipped with 4E class runways with both take-off and landing entrances and exits, and a 43-meter-tall air traffic control tower which is rated to withstand a 9-point earthquake. A cargo terminal was established to ensure the safe operation of all types of cargo and mail at the level of international standards, and the annual handling of 11,900 tons of cargos and deliveries. In the baggage check-in area, the BHS system has been introduced.

The parking lot with a capacity of 825 cars, water treatment facility, heating plant, fuel storage, security, and fire fighting facilities have been constructed in the airport environment. The passenger service hall can handle 3 million passengers per year. In addition to the waiting rooms, there is a check-in hall for local flights on the right side of the passenger hall and an international check-in hall on the left side.

"Tourist Information Centers", bank branches, mobile phone operators, supermarkets, fast food, international and national cuisines, car rentals, taxi service, and bus booking service points have been established at the commerce and service area. The highway connecting Ulaanbaatar city and the new Khushig Valley International Airport was constructed with a length of 32.226 km, a concrete surface, a width of 31 meters, and a 6-lane.

A public transport service has been established for foreign and domestic customers and operates according to the following schedule.

• Chinggis Khan International Airport: 09:00, 10:00, 15:00, 16:00, 21:00, 22:00
• Dragon Bus terminal: 06:20, 12:20, 18:20

This schedule was made following the flight schedule, and arrangements were made to depart from Ulaanbaatar 3-4 hours before the flight time. It will take 80-100 minutes per side. Ticket price is 20,000 MNT for adults and 7,000 MNT for children.
